Last day in Aix-en-Provence

Our last day in Aix was a very quiet one, we are up a little later than usual, returned the car then went for a last walk around this beautiful city if Aix. Agnes our host called in before we left for our walk and dropped off a bottle of champagne, so we decided on a light lunch at home in the apartment and a celebratory dinner out tonight.

Up in the morning for our last train trip bound for Paris where we leave Sue to go home to Aussie and we start our next chapter of our trip....

Three days in Paris... We arrived at our hotel at around 4.00 to start our APT Adventure. A short information session where we met the 50 odd travellers who had arrived during the day from either New Zealand or Australia. Apparently there are 154 people on this tour and they will be joining in gradually before Saturday before we reach Amsterdam.

Four of us went our for dinner to the local Italian restaurant (as you do in Paris) but it was the only thing open lol .

Thursday.... up early for a bus trip around Paris showing us all the sites, we then stopped at Versailles palace and walked around the gardens followed by a exceptional lunch at the restaurant. We then had a guided tour of the palace.

Friday.... activity for today. Bus trip up to Montmartre Art district and to have a tour of the Sacre-Coeur Basilica. In the evening we were taken to dinner at the Moulin Rouge and the amazing show.

Up early tomorrow as we are moving on to Amsterdam to board the boat to finally start the cruise part of the trip.
